All of our leather goods are hand made by Amish Saddlers in Pennsylvania. The hardware is non magnetic Nickel Stainless steel. This is never found on mass produced products which use plated buckles and rings which eventually rust.
The leather is harness quality the same as used for harnessing Amish horses. Correctly tanned, of ample thickness yet pliable and hardwearing. Single thickness is used throughout. Cheap collars often use a double layer of thinner leather sewn together. This cannot be cut to shorten and in time comes apart. All buckles are sewn in with harness weight thread and the keepers are sewn and riveted.
